If you have a vision to help plant churches in Alaska, True North Church would like to help you accomplish that vision.
Through the North American Mission Board and the SEND Network, we are able to host a potential church planter on our staff at True North Church for one to two years. This will give them the opportunity to experience the extreme seasonal changes in Alaska and experience the culture and better understand the challenges and needs of the people. The resident would apprentice under our leadership, and the hope would be to then send them to plant a church in Alaska.
Up to two residents would be able to join at any given time, and the North American Mission Board has housing available for singles, couples, or even families. One of the Elders at True North will take an active role in helping them adjust to all the unique aspects and challenges of living in the 49th state.
